Purpose of This Document

This document contains three items: (1) the mandatory product page disclaimer to be placed on every product listing, (2) an extended version for the standalone Disclaimer page, and (3) placement and usage guidance.

Part A - Product Page Disclaimer (Short Form)

Use this text on every individual product page, directly below the product description and above the Add to Cart button. Do not edit or abbreviate it.

RESEARCH USE ONLY

This compound is sold strictly for in vitro laboratory and scientific research purposes only. It is not a medicinal product, food supplement, or cosmetic. It is not approved for human or veterinary consumption or administration. It must not be self-administered or used in any in vivo setting outside of a licensed research environment. By purchasing this product, you confirm that you are a qualified researcher purchasing for legitimate research purposes, that you are 18 years of age or older, and that you accept full responsibility for its lawful use in accordance with applicable regulations in your jurisdiction. Shopify implementation: In your product template, add a new section or text block beneath the product description. Paste the disclaimer text above into a Rich Text or HTML block. Apply a background colour of #F0F7FA and a left border in #247BA0 to make it visually distinct. Set font to 10pt / 14px.

Part B - Full Disclaimer Page (Extended Version)

Use this on your standalone /disclaimer or /legal/disclaimer page. This page should be linked in your website footer on every page.

All products supplied by Pure Grade Labs are intended strictly for legitimate in vitro laboratory and scientific research purposes only. They are not approved for, and must not be used for, human or veterinary consumption, diagnosis, therapy, or any medicinal purpose whatsoever.

Our compounds are not medicines, pharmaceutical products, food supplements, nutraceuticals, or cosmetics. They are research-grade chemical compounds supplied in lyophilised form for laboratory reconstitution and in vitro experimental use only.

No compound listed on this website has been reviewed, approved, or licensed by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), the European Medicines Agency (EMA), the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), or any other medicines regulatory authority for use in humans or animals. Listing a compound on this website does not constitute a representation that it is safe or effective for any purpose.

Where to display the Product Page Disclaimer (Part A)

  • On every individual product page - no exceptions
  • Position: below the product description, above the Add to Cart button
  • Must be visible without scrolling on desktop (above the fold if possible)
  • Do not place it only in the footer - it must be on the product page itself
  • Do not reduce the font size below 10pt / 14px
  • Do not edit, abbreviate, or paraphrase the disclaimer text

Where to display the Full Disclaimer (Part B)

  • On a dedicated /disclaimer or /legal/disclaimer page
  • Linked in the website footer on every page
  • Linked from the Terms & Conditions page
  • Optionally linked from the product page disclaimer box

Additional Placement Requirements

  • Age gate (homepage / product page entry): use the age gate text from the Compliance & Brand Guide Section 5.1
  • Website footer (all pages): include one-line version - 'All products sold for research purposes only. Not for human consumption. Not a medicinal product.'
  • Email marketing: include a one-line disclaimer in the footer of every email sent via Klaviyo

Note: These disclaimers are a compliance layer, not a legal shield. They must be reviewed by a UK solicitor before launch. They are designed to work alongside your compliant product copy, research framing, and age verification - not to replace any of those measures.
